I've been running servers since 2020, when I got my first Ubuntu 18.04 VPS at Contabo. Before that I spent a couple of years running Minecraft servers, which is how it all started.

What is AS202119?

        
AS202119 (MALTHETANKRED) is a small autonomous system registered with the RIPE NCC and run by Malthe Tankred from Denmark. It's an IPv6 network used for learning BGP, running personal services and peering with other networks.

      

      
      

        
How do I peer with AS202119?

        
AS202119 has an open peering policy. If we share an Internet exchange like InterIX, Nine-IX, EVIX, 4b42 or ixFabric, send a peering request with your ASN, AS-SET and NOC contact. Route server sessions, bilateral BGP sessions and tunnels (WireGuard or GRE) all work.

      

      
      

        
Is the IP transit really free?

        
Yes. Hobby networks and small projects with their own ASN can get free IPv6 transit in Velbert, Germany or Amsterdam, Netherlands, either over a shared exchange or a tunnel.
